Monday Mention: Normalcy

It’s Sasha, I swear it and this will all make sense in a moment.

I’ve been MIA a bit this summer and I won’t make any sort of excuses about that. What I will say is that I am slowly climbing back out of the black hole that was my summer and I’m dragging my bloody stumps toward the light.

So where do the righteously cool snake mitts come into play? Up until a few months ago, I was an avid knitter and yes, I made those bitchin mitts. Over the course of my move, all my hand knits were lost.

Yes, thank you for that moment of silence. I weep a bit each time I think about it.

But today, for the first time in a long time, I went and I hung out with my knitting friends. These are people I met six years ago and haven’t seen in far too long due to one thing or the other.  It felt like a such a normal thing to do after ALL the madness.  And I find that I’m craving that feeling.

So here’s to normalcy: writing more, knitting more, and getting back to all the other things I love.

Sasha, whose idea of normal is more skewed than most
